Sports injuries can happen to anyone participating in sporting events and/or activities. In many cases, the injury occurs due to the overuse of a certain body part during a certain activity, such as “golfer’s” or “tennis elbow” or “runner’s knee”. Sprains, torn ligaments or even broken bones are other types of sports-related injuries that are usually caused by collisions or a hard contact with something, such as a fall.
REPETITIVE STRESS INJURY
The strain of repeated movements can cause pain in the affected area of the body including typing, lifting or working on an assembly line. The same muscles and joints are used which results in pain in those areas. Common repetitive stress injuries are carpal tunnel syndrome, medial epicondylitis and tennis elbow. Treatment utilizing our integrated approach is very effective in eliminating pain caused by repetitive stress injuries.
Your muscles attach to your bones by tendons. Often these tendons become damaged from an injury or repetitive stress and the result of this is tendinitis (inflammation of the tendon). Common tendinitis injuries are the rotator cuff in the shoulder, golfer’s or tennis elbow and Achilles tendonitis. Treatment utilizing our integrated approach is very effective in eliminating pain caused by tendinitis.
